HUNTING ISLAND

Hunting Island
Hunting Island is a natural wonder: a maritime forest five miles long on a barrier island uncorrupted by commercialism. Visit and discover wildlife in its natural, unspoiled habitat. Sea turtles nest here, protected by a team of volunteers, and horseshoe crabs provide nourishment to Red Knots, birds with the longest migration route in the Western hemisphere, who stop at Hunting Island on their journey.

Hunting Island Lighthouse

The Hunting Island Lighthouse is also unique, constructed in 1875 of metal parts that can be disassembled when the ocean encroaches and it must be moved inland. All of the art on this page is inspired by and honors Hunting Island, its sea turtles and lighthouse. Choose from original artwork: blank greeting cards, in sets you choose or individually, and stretched canvas art, easy to hang without framing.
